32. Leptosia nupta nupta ( Butler, 1873) View in CoL

WL: 18mm. The species was reported only once from Guinea-Bissau, with a single specimen collected in Cacine (Tombali region) ( Bacelar, 1949), and currently housed in the entomological collection of the former CZ (IICT). It is the smallest of all the Leptosia , with a reduced or non-existent black apical margin and no black subapical spot on the forewing. As its known range extends from Nigeria to Angola, and it remains unknown from other West African countries, we believe it to be extinct in Guinea-Bissau.
