Etymology. The epithet is a Latin adjective and refers to the similarity of the male palp with those of other species of the group, causing the late recognition of this species.

Diagnosis. This species is similar to M. delicatus sp. nov. and M. balbina sp. nov. by having an acute median projection only on the prolateral side of the embolus, but can be recognized by the embolus tip, more robust and curved distally ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 37 – 43 ). Females of this species differ from the others within the acutidens group by the round copulation openings near the posterior border of the epigynal plate ( Figs 38–39 View FIGURES 37 – 43 ).
