Microphotina vitripennis (Saussure, 1872) View in CoL View at ENA

– Originally described under Cardioptera Burmeister, 1838 . Type locality in French Guiana, with additional records from that country in François & Roy (2015). Presumably the most widespread member of Microphotina , also reported from Venezuela ( Cerdá 1997) and Brazil ( Terra 1995; Dantas et al. 2008). However, Venezuelan and Brazilian records require corroboration.
