Type locality and data. “ Brazil, Santa Catarina, Nova Teutonia ” (H, T, AMNH) .

Material examined. Antofagasta: 1♀, Mejillones, 1.VII.1970, Leg. Cerda ( MNHNCL); La Araucanía: 1♀, Termas de Palguin , 22.II.1964, Leg. M. Etcheverry ( IEUMCE) .

World distribution. Brazil and Chile.

Chilean distribution. The species only has been recorded in Antofagasta and La Araucanía region ( Fig. 200 View FIGURE 200 ).

Altitudinal range. From coastal to inland valley ecosystems (0– 450 m.a.s.l.).

Biology and notes. Mimocalla erebus represent a rare species present in Chile. All of its biology and ecology aspects remain unknown in Chile.

Conservation status. EN under B2ab (iii) using AOO = 4 km 2 and 2 localities (or subpopulations).
