Remarks: This spitting cobra is another typical occupant of semi-deserts and dry savannas ( Spawls et al. 2018). In November 2016, we found three individuals of the grayphased Naja pallida ( Fig. 4X). All were active after sunset at Koobi Fora and Karare. One was found in grassland near the lake shore, and the other two were foraging in dry riverbeds.
