Diagnosis. Color of this species is differ between female and male. The body of female black, only these parts with white: mesoscutellum except lateral part, metascutellum, hind margin of mesopleuron, hind part of metapleuron, deflected areas of terga 2–8. In the male, white are: hind part of pronotum, an anterior spot on lateral part of median mesoscutal lobe, a spot on apex of median mesoscutal lobe, a large anterior spot and a narrow posterior band on lower part of mesepisternum, upper part of metepisternum and hind part of metepimeron; hind part of each sternum.

Discussion. This species is similar to P. qilianica and may be distinguished as follows ( P. qilianica in parentheses): body length 8.5 mm (body length 6.0 mm); middle of mesoscutellum yellow-white, punctures nearly absent, smooth (mesoscutellum completely black, middle of mesoscutellum with distinct punctures, not smooth); apex of ovipositor sheath round, base of each serrula distinctly elevated (apex of ovipositor sheath quadrate, base of each serrula slightly elevated). It is also similar to P. micromaculata and may be distinguished as follows ( P. micromaculata in parentheses): clypeus completely black, labrum black except anterior and posterior margins (clypeus and labrum white, posterior each with a medial black spot); meso- and metapleuron with white spots (meso- and metapleuron completely black); laterally deflexed parts of terga 1–5 with white (laterally deflexed parts of all terga completely black); hind coxa completely black (outer part of hind coxa with a distinct white spot). Except for the serrulae, reliable morphological differences between these three species were not found.
