Description: Herbs perennial. Root long-cylindric or conic. Stem erect, thinly ribbed, base covered by remnant fibrous sheaths. Basal leaves with long petioles, sheath narrow-oblong, broadly ovate, membranaceous at the margin, above auriculate. Blades broadly ovate or oblong, 1–2-ternate or 3–4-ternate-pinnate; ultimate segments broadly ovate to orbicular, oblong to ovate, or elongated to lanceolate, glabrous or scabrous along nerves abaxially; stem leaves reduced upwards. Umbels compound, terminal or lateral; bracts absent (occasionally 1–3) to several, linear-lanceolate, entire or rarely toothed at tip; rays subequal; bracteoles linear or lanceolate, green or membranous at margin, entire. Calyx teeth obsolete. Petals white, tinged purplish-red, or yellowish-green, clawed or without a claw, apex inflexed. Stylopodium conic. Fruit oblong, ribs all narrowly winged; vittae 1–2 in each furrow, 2–4 on commissure. Flowering and fruiting from June to September.
