Length (including tegmen). Male: 3.1–3.4 mm; female: 3.2–3.5 mm.

Greenish yellow, head with the midline and near posterior margin yellowish. Vertex, pronotum and scutellum marked with black spots, sometimes merged with variation in head pattern.

Male abdomen. 2nd acrotergite with trunk very thick; neck stout. 2nd tergal apodeme reaching to middle of tergite posteriorly. 1st sternal apodeme with anterior lobes elongately produced, narrowed apically; posterior lobes reduced. 2nd sternal apodeme with posterior lobes 2.5 times as long as wide.

Male genitalia. Aedeagal shaft smooth, slim, apical appendages straight, often crossed, or convergent apically.

Kunyu, 11~ 12.vii.2001, Coll. Qin Daozheng & Liu Zhenjiang (trapped); 2 males, Qinghai Prov., Dulan County, 31.viii.1950, Coll. Lu Baolin (CAU); 4 males, 3 females, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, Qinghe County, 9.viii.2006, Coll. Dai Wu & Li Tao (all NWAFU, except where indicated).

Distribution. Holarctic, from Europe to western Canada, south to Mongolia (Kwon 1988) and China (Hebei, Shandong, Qinghai, Xinjiang).
