Leptopus assouanensis A. Costa, 1875: 9 (as new species); Leptopus niloticus Reuter, 1881: 161 ; Valleriola greeni Distant, 1904: 406 .

Distribution in Iran. Fars (Ostovan & Arefnia 2011), Hormozgan (Hoberlandt 1983), Sistan & Baluchestan (Seidenstücker 1957), Iran (no locality cited) (Linnavuori et al. 2011).

General distribution. Afghanistan, Egypt, Israel, Iran, Palestine, Afrotropical and Oriental Regions (Lindskog 1995, Linnavuori et al. 2011).
