Tapiena longzhouensis Liu, 2004 , In: Yang X. K. (Ed.) Insects from Mt. Shiwandashan Area of Guangxi (Holotype, M, origi. descrip.; type locality: Longzhou, Guangxi, China; Type depository: IZAS, Beijing).

Material examined. 1 male (Holotype), China: Guangxi Prov.: Longzhou, Nonggang, 2000. VI.15, Coll. Yao Jian ( IZAS).

Redescription. Male (holotype). Stridulatory file on underside of left tegmen with about 140 rather distinct fine teeth and about apical 25 indistinct teeth ( Fig. 5a View FIGURE 5. a, c – f, T ). Tenth abdominal tergum with middle lobe strongly projecting backwards, distal half compressed, with apical margin truncated, and lateral posterior corner obtuse in dorsal view ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5. a, c – f, T d); middle lobe extending ventrad into two long sharp spines. Tenth abdominal tergum with middle protuberance, apical half compressed, with apical margin truncated, posterior lateral corner obtuse; in lateral view lateral margin arcuate, extending backwards into a short spine, which directing ventrad ( Fig. 5c View FIGURE 5. a, c – f, T ); in ventral view, ventral surface split into two symmetrical lobes. Cerci robust, incurved, apex shaped into one small tooth ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5. a, c – f, T e). Subgenital plate with base widest, distal half abruptly narrowed, apical margin with a long sharp angular notch, as long as one third length of subgenital plate; styli slender, as long as two-thirds length of male subgenital plate ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5. a, c – f, T f).

Female. Unknown.

Coloration. Yellowish green. Compound eyes dark brown; tegmen green; interior margin of anterior femur with black stripes.

Measurements of males (mm). Length of body 27.0; length of pronotum 6.0; length of tegmen 39.0; largest width of tegmen 9.2; length of hind wing 44.0; length of posterior femur 17.5.

Distribution. China (Guangxi Prov.).
