Description. Female (n = 18). Body length 8.0– 10.8 mm, polished and covered with punctures and silver setae.
Head 0.55–0.6 × as long as wide. Clypeus 2.6 × as broad as high, sparsely punctate, convex in lateral view. Face 2.0–2.1 × as broad as high, densely punctate ( Fig. 2 B View FIGURE 2 ), convex medially in lateral view. Malar space 0.35–0.45 × as long as basal mandibular width. POL 1.55–1.7 × as long as OD. OOL 1.2–1.25 × as long as OD. Vertex with long setae, ca. 2.0 × as height as lateral ocellus in lateral view. Antenna with 32–33 flagellomeres. FL I 4.0 × as long as maximum depth in lateral view and 1.6–1.7 × as long as FL II.
Mesosoma densely punctate. Epomia absent. Speculum with a conspicuous smooth area. Mesosternum with long dense setae, ca. 1.0 × as long as maximum depth of FL I in lateral view. Propodeum with posterior transverse carina largely absent except for short, trace-like ridge. Fore wing length 7.7–8.9 mm. Areolet received vein 2m-cu slightly distant (ca. width of 2m-cu) of the outer angle. Nervellus intercepted at middle. Hind femur 5.75–6.1 × as long as maximum depth in lateral view. Ratio of length of hind first to fifth tarsomeres 4.2–4.8: 2.0: 1.3–1.45: 0.8–0.9: 0.95–1.05. Hind second tarsomere 3.3–4.0 × as long as maximum depth in lateral view. Tarsal claws pectinate.
Metasoma. T I 1.35–1.9 × as long as maximum width, densely punctate except for smooth areas on apex, median longitudinal area and base. T II 0.75–1.05 × as long as maximum width. T II to T V finely punctate and covered with minute transverse striae ( Fig. 2 C View FIGURE 2 ). Ovipositor sheath 1.4–1.6 × as long as hind tibia.
Coloration ( Figs 2 A–C View FIGURE 2 ). Body (excluding wings and legs) black. Clypeus tinged with reddish brown apically. Teeth tinged with reddish brown. Frons usually with a pair of small yellow marking along eye near antennal socket. Postero-lateral corner of pronotum tinged with yellow. Mesoscutum with a pair of yellow markings antero-laterally. Each posterior margin of T II to T VI narrowly and conspicuously tinged with yellow to whitish yellow. Ovipositor reddish brown. Wings hyaline. Veins and pterostigma blackish-brown except for brown wing base. Legs black except for tibiae with white base. Fore and mid tibiae and tarsi usually partly tinged with brown. Median part of hind tibia slightly tinged with brown. Tibial spurs yellowish brown. Hind second to fourth tarsomere white (sometimes second and fourth tarsomere darkened).
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Japan (Honshu and Tsushima Is.). Outside Japan, this species has been recorded from Korea ( Kang et al. 2020).
Bionomics. Host unknown. Adults were collected in April to June.
Remarks. This is the first record of this species from Japan. Although Japanese specimens and additional Korean specimens are slightly differed from the data of types ( Kang et al. 2020), i.e., flagellum with 32 or 33 flagellomeres (36 in types), T II 0.75–1.05 times as long as maximum width (0.7 in types) and femora and tibiae black to blackish brown (largely tinged with reddish brown in types), I conclude that these character states are intraspecific variation.
