Krynitsky leg., 1827 ; Odesa Prov.: 2 spec. ( SIZK) Reny Distr., shore of Dervent Lake , on flower heads of Onopordum acanthium, S.V. Volovnik leg., 15.vii.2009 ; 1 spec. ( KUMN) “ Southern Podolia ”, V. G. Besser leg., 1827 .
Biology. Grasslands. Adults occur in V–VII. Oligophagous on Asteraceae : Cardueae and Arctoteae ( Briese 1996a).
