Distribution. Disjunctive: NW China, Kazakhstan, Iran, Central & Middle Asia, and Ukraine ( Volovnik 1984; Alonso-Zarazaga et al. 2017).
Material examined. Kherson Prov.: 1 spec. ( SIZK) Henychesk Distr., Biryuchy Island 3.v.1955 ; Odesa Prov.: 1 spec. ( SIZK) Kiliya, Danube floodplain, 7.vii.1951 ; 1 spec. ( SIZK) Kiliya, on salt marsh 13.v.1951 ; 1 spec. ( SIZK) Kiliya, on seedlings, 16.viii.1951 ; Zaporizhia Prov.: 1 spec. ( SIZK) Primorsk Distr. , Obitochna Spit, S. V. Volovnik leg., 18.vii.1978 .
Biology. Xerothermic habitats. Adults occur in V–VIII. Presumably oligophagous on Chenopodioideae (Amaranthaceae) .
