Male genitalia ( Fig. 58). Uncus slender in basal part, distinctly expanded terminally; socius slender, drooping; arm of gnathos and terminal plate fairly large; valva subtriangular; sacculus long, slender, convex beyond 1/3 where terminally bifid process present, with slender pointed free termination; transtilla interrupted medially, armed with very large sublateral hooks; juxta small; aedeagus small, pointed ventroterminally; coecum penis very short; no cornuti in vesica.

Remarks. Described from 25 specimens of which 13 are present in the collection. The lectotype was selected by Aarvik in 1998 but was not published until the present paper. Dissection showed that one of the syntypes belongs to an undescribed species—described below as Cornips gravidspinatus sp. n.; it is probable that further syntypes are not conspecific with the lectotype.
