Male genitalia ( Fig. 75). Uncus with broad base and large, lateroposterior, finely spined arms; socius moderate, rounded, hairy; valva large, slender proximally; neck indistinct; sacculus slender with small ventral prominence submedially and spiny posterior half extending terminaly; cucullus subtriangular, bristled; aedeagus moderate, extending ventroterminally.

Remarks. Described from 2 male specimens. The second specimen is in BMNH (K. Tuck, pers. comm.). Brown (2005: 391) mentioned the specimen in RMCA as the holotype.

Bradley (1965) described Olethreutes orestera from six different high altitude localities in the Ruwenzori Mts. The type series consists of 14 specimens, both males and females. In the original description adults and male and female genitalia were figured .
