Male genitalia ( Fig. 84). Tegumen strongly elongate with long terminal portion (uncus?); valva broad with almost straight costa and convex caudal edge; basal cavity long; dorsobasal process of valva long, with long terminal setae; sacculus large, convex postbasally and posteriorly, with moderate angle; cucullus very small, bristled; aedeagus fairly short, broad; cornuti a bunch of moderately long spines.

Remarks. Described from the male holotype only. Eucosma niveipalpis is a junior subjective synonym of Eucosma sparactis . The wings and genitalia of the holotype of E. sparactis were figured by Clarke (1958); the species was transferred to Brachioxena Diakonoff by Diakonoff (1968). Comparison with Clarke’s (1958) figure of the male genitalia of sparactis with the male genitalia of niveipalpis shows without doubt that the two are conspecific.
