Morphomya tachinoides Fallén, 1817 sensu Rondani, 1856: 83 .

REMARKS: misidentification. Rondani (1856: 83) in his description of the genus Morphomya considered Musca tachinoides Fallén, 1817 as the type species but he referred to a new species that he later ( Rondani 1861e: 95) described: Morphomyia caliendrata Rondani, 1861 . Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993: 391) considered Morphomyia tachinoides Fallén sensu Rondani as a misidentification of Morphomyia caliendrata . O’Hara et al. (2011) did not list this name.

REMARKS: nomen nudum; Morge (1959b: 89) cited an unpublished Rondani name.
