ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1859b: 118 (key), 131 (description).
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in collibus agri Parmensis [ Parmese hills ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, holotype (missing left mid-leg, abdomen partially eaten by dermestids) ( MZUF: Box 13): Exorista Mgn / fulvipes Rnd. / 630.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Phryno vetula ( Meigen, 1824) ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 236) .
REMARKS: Rondani (1859b: 131) described Exorista fulvipes from a single male: “ Unicum specimen masculum … inveni [I found … a single male specimen]”. There are two females numbered “630” in the MZUF and one female in the MZUB (all non-types) because of their sex .
