ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1868c: 216 (key), 218 (description).

TYPE LOCALITY: “ Pedemontanum [Piedmont ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype (slightly covered with mold) ( MZUF: Box 28): Tetanocera Dmrl / cribrata Rndn. , ♀ / 1502.

CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Euthycera cribrata View in CoL ( Rozkošný & Elberg 1984: 182, Rivosecchi 1992a: 165, Munari & Rivosecchi 1995: 4).

REMARKS: Rondani (1868c: 218) described Tetanocera cribrata from a single female: “ Exemplar unicum foemineum olim a clar. Geneo obtinui ” [I obtained a single female from Mr. Genè]”. This nominal species was described under the subgenus Oregocera Rondani, 1856 . The MZUF also contains a (non-type) male.
