This tiny family of acalyptrate flies, until recently ( Griffiths 1972) considered to be a subfamily of Sciomyzidae ( Marshall 2012) View in CoL View at ENA , contains four Palaearctic species ( Evenhuis & Pape 2020). Rondani described one, considered as a junior synonym ( Rozkošný & Elberg 1984, Rivosecchi 1992a). The type material is in the MRSN.
