ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1867a: 71.

TYPE LOCALITY: Rondani gave no type locality in his original description but presumably it is Parma because he referred to observations made by himself.

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, syntype (dirty, missing right wing), 1 ♀, syntype (dirty, missing head) ( MZUF: Box 65): Asphondylia Low. / pruniperda 89 / 3362 .

CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Asphondylia pruniperda View in CoL ( Skuhravá 1986: 211, Gagné 2010: 128, Dahl et al. 1995: 24, Gagné & Jaschhof 2017: 175).

REMARKS: Rondani (1867a: 71) described Asphondylia pruniperda without specifying the number , the sex or the length of the specimens. Two syntypes were found in this study.
