ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1866d: 42 (key), 44 (description) [1867b: 126 (key), 128 (description)].

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in planitie prope Parmam [on plains near Parma (Italy) ]”.

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, holotype ( MZUF: Box 28): Leria Desv. / puerula Rnd. / 1471.

CURRENT STATUS: nomen dubium View in CoL in Heleomyzidae ( Gorodkov 1984b: 45) View in CoL .

REMARKS: Rondani (1866d: 44) described Leria puerula from a single male: “ Marem unicum legi [I collected a single male]”, publishing the species first in a separate (1866b) and then in the journal version (1867b).
