Hypopygium with median stalk 0.91 × as long as hypopygeal plate; median stalk wide; corner of anterior margin angular; lateral stalk of hypopygium 0.05 × as long as median stalk; posterior margin weakly concave; corner rounded ( Fig. 120 View FIGURES 119–127 ).
Genitalia ( Figs 207–209 View FIGURES 202–209 ). Genital ring produced, each half convex in dorsal view. Basiparamere with dorsal surface rectangular, much narrower than ventral surface. Variations. Body length between 1.90 and 3.65 mm; LFW between 1.67 and 2.58 mm; maximum wing width between 0.72 and 1.03 mm; propodeal declivity with brilliant median band; posterior carina of propodeal disc with narrow median angulation or two paramedian concavities.
Remarks. Dissomphalus barbus sp. nov. is similar to D. magnetus sp. nov. and D. thaianus because of the following characteristics: basiparamere and paramere narrow in dorsal view, aedeagal dorsal body wide and aedeagal ventral ramus wider medially. However, D. barbus sp. nov. differs as follows: basiparamere with very wide ventral surface that hides aedeagal ventral ramus; dorsal body strongly inclined dorsad; aedeagal ventral ramus longer than half length of dorsal body, reaching base of apical lobe of dorsal body, apical region angulate, base extending beyond genital ring.
Distribution. Thailand (Loei, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Chaiyaphum, Suphanburi and Nakhon Nayok).
