Aphorma indica Burckhardt & Bänziger, 1995
Distribution. India: Kashmir ( Burckhardt & Bänziger 1995); Pakistan (1 ♂, 3 ♀, Punjab, Murree, 1950 m, 23‒25.iv.1984 (S. Vit) #PAK-84/20, 22, 28 [MHNG, dry mounted]).
Host plant unknown.
Comments. Judging from the original description, Leprostictopsylla jiuzhaiensis Li, 2011 , is congeneric with Aphorma indica , making Leprostictopsylla a junior synonym of Aphorma . For this reason we synonymise the two genera and transfer one species as follows. Aphorma Hodkinson, 1974 , type-species Aphalara bagnalli Hodkinson, 1974 , by original designation and monotypy = Leprostictopsylla Li, 2011 , type-species Leprostictopsylla jiuzhaiensis Li, 2011 , by original designation and monotypy, syn. nov. Aphorma jiuzhaiensis ( Li, 2011) , comb. nov. from Leprostictopsylla .
