27- Atta piliventris View in CoL HNS .
Female. Length 2 1/2 lines.-Black: the face anteriorly and the mandibles ferruginous; the apex of the flagellum and the tarsi pale testaceous. Head the same width as the thorax, slightly emarginate behind, and irregularly longitudinally striated. Thorax: the disk very closely and finely striated; the scutellum smooth and shining; the metathorax finely rugose. Abdomen ovate, and covered with fine pale silky pubescence; the head and thorax slightly pubescent.
