In lateral view, anal segment relatively wide, latero-apical angles decurved and acute, ventral margin distinctly curved. Ovipositor with first valvulae narrow and curved dorsally, with three finger-like processes, first valvifer nearly quadrangular ( Fig. 60); second valvulae with two laminae in apical half united in basal half, proximally, valvulae with pair of short processes dorsally ( Figs 61–62); third valvulae flat and stout, nearly rectangular, dorsal part with narrow notch ( Fig. 63). Material examined. 1♀, China, Hunan, Nanyue, Zhufuling , 21 June 1963, coll. J. K. Yang ; 1♀, Xinjiang, Shulecaohu , 1100 m, 1 Sept. 1979, coll. F. S. Li. ( NWAFU) .

Distribution. China (Hunan, Zhejiang, Xinjiang).

Remarks. Caliscelis orientalis was erected based only on female specimens. The original type material was unable to be located in the type depositary; therefore we base the current species redescription of specimens available to us on the original description and distribution.
