We recorded this species in riparian and semideciduous seasonal forests, where it tends to be very discreet. Identified by rufous brown upperparts, white throat and belly, and yellowish breast. Sides of neck covered with brownish spotting ( Sick 1997). One specimen was cap- tured with mist net and deposited at UFMT under catalog number 4161. In Brazil, it is a seasonal visitor from the northern hemisphere ( Piacentini et al. 2015).
