Taxonomic remarks. Note on file card: “ Costa Rica, Typen, 7 Nr. n.g. n. sp. Manuskriptname?” Verhoeff did not specify the number of specimens in his description and all specimens are syntypes .

Collection remarks. The specimens were collected by the German entomologist Ferdinand Nevermann (1881– 1939). The specimen from San José was captured inside a house (“ im Hause ”), a specimen from Salvadora Farm under loose bark (“ unter loser Rind e”) and another specimen from Farm Hamburg on fallen leaves in rain forest (“ v[on] welkem Laub i[m] Urwald ”).

Current systematic position. Junior synonym of Dendrothereua linceci (Wood, 1867) according to Würmli (1973: 79).
