Deximorpha cristata ( Meigen, 1826) sensu Rondani, 1862d: 63 .

REMARKS: misidentification. Rondani (1862d: 63), in his redescription of Deximorpha cristata ( Meigen, 1826) , referred to Deximorpha cristata Meigen (1826) sensu Macquart (1834b: 52) . Portschinsky (1881: 145) considered Deximorpha cristata sensu Rondani as a synonym of Dexia petiolata Bonsdorff, 1866 . O’Hara et al. (2011: 208) considered the name as available. Rondani (1856: 84) did not consider Deximorpha cristata as the type species of his new genus Deximorpha therefore Deximorpha cristata Rondani is an unavailable name (I.C.Z.N. 1999: Article 11.10). In the MZUF under the name Deximorpha cristata Meigen we found a male and two females (Box 18) and one male (Box C).

REMARKS: name that Rondani (1859b: 59) proposed as a synonym of Echinomyia ruficeps Macquart, 1845 and was made available by use as a valid species before 1961. O’Hara et al. (2011: 208) considered the name as unavailable. It is not included in Bezzi & Stein (1907) or Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993).

REMARKS: name that Rondani (1859b: 59) proposed as a synonym of Echinomyia ferina Zetterstedt, 1844 and was not made available by use as a valid species before 1961. O’Hara et al. (2011: 211) considered the name as unavailable. It is not included in Bezzi & Stein (1907) or Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993).

REMARKS: name that Rondani (1859b: 60) proposed as a synonym of Echinomyia sphyricera Macquart, 1835 and was not made available by use as a valid species before 1961. O’Hara et al. (2011: 212) considered the name as unavailable. It is not included in Bezzi & Stein (1907) or Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993).

[ Erynnia laticornis ] Rondani, 1862b: 13.

REMARKS: nomen nudum. Rondani (1862b: 13) mentioned this nominal species in a list of Diptera on display in London in 1862. O’Hara et al. (2011: 210) considered the name as unavailable.

[ Erynnia marginella ] Morge, 1959b: 89 (as Erymia marginella ).

REMARKS: nomen nudum; Morge (1959b: 89) cited an unpublished Rondani name. O’Hara et al. (2011: 196) consider “ Erymia” as “unavailable name, treated under Erynnia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 ”.
