ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1875c: 433.
TYPE LOCALITY: “ Insula Bonae Fortunae (Borneo) , Provincia Sarawak [ Bona Fortuna Island , Sarawak Province, Borneo]” ( Rondani 1875c: 421) .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype ( MSNG): Sarawak / Typus / Ditomogaster xanthomera Rond. / Ditomogaster xanthomera n° 25.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Pterogenia dayak Bigot, 1859 ( Steyskal 1977e: 158) View in CoL .
REMARKS: Rondani (1875c: 433) described Ditomogaster xanthomera , without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens, but giving a single measurement of length, from material collected by G. Doria and O. Beccari. Guiglia (1957: 194) and Raineri & Rey (1996: 48) reported the holotype (♀) in the MSNG.
