Measurements. Male (n=2): forewing length: 31–32 mm, width: 8 mm; hindwing length: 27–29 mm, width: 7 mm. Female (n=2), forewing length: 33–36 mm, width: 9 mm; hindwing length: 29–34 mm, width: 6.5 mm.

Diagnostic characters. Vertex and thorax with sparse hairs. Frons shiny and dark brown with dominantly pale hairs. Labrum pale yellow with brown apical margin. Clypeus dark brown. In males, 2–10 flagellar segments only slightly curved and with moderately long spines. Antenna reaching pterostigma. In lateral view, mesothorax with distinct yellow band. Apices of wings acutely rounded. Pterostigma dark brown. Legs dark brown to black. Male ectoproct processus long and slim curving downward and inward in lateral view. Sternite 9 triangular, base slightly wider than high, tip pointed, subacute. Gonocoxite 9 arched and with pair of narrow curved horn-shaped extensions, apices acute, wider at base with a blunt-ended projection directed inwards. Distribution. India (Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh), a new record for the fauna of Nepal ( Fig. 21 View FIGURE 21 ).

Flight period of adult. It is mainly active during the months of July, August and September based on the literature and new records ( Fig. 22 View FIGURE 22 ).

Remarks. The type specimen comes from India although the specific location is unknown. Recently, Hassan & Liu (2021) reported a well-illustrated female specimen from Pakistan as G. dentifera , but we found it to be conspecific with G. cornuta .
