Hylaeus (Paraprosopis) asininus (Cockerell & Casad, 1895) View in CoL

[ Syntype: USNM; ♂ Campus of Agricultural College , Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA; September 1984]

This species has been previously reported in the Gulf Coast, BCS in May 1921 ( Cockerell 1924). We reviewed six specimens: two (1 ♀, 1 ♂) in the Magdalena Plains in October 1941, and four in the Gulf Coast, one in Concepción Bay in October 1941 (1 ♂), two males in Agua Verde Bay in March 1953, and one female in Las Animas Bay in May 1921 ( CASC). Additionally, the BBPT collected two males in the Gulf Coast, BC in November 2020 and March 2021 ( MABC). See fig. 163 .
