Type material. Holotype male: South Africa, Eastern Cape, Tsitsikamma, Platboos , GIS: -33.980, 23.910, 14.xi.2006 #5, ex branch of unknown tree, B. Jordal, leg. GoogleMaps Holotype is deposited in SAMC.
Diagnosis, male. Scutellum with split setae. Distinguished from L. mattheei by the regular rows of strial setae, by the multiple confused rows of setae on interstriae 1 and 4, and by the fewer apical denticles on the protibiae.
Description, male. Length 1.6 mm, 2.3 × as long as wide. Colour black. Frons narrowly transversely impressed above epistoma, laterally obscurely marked by blunt carinae, vestiture of short setae above impressed area, subglabrous in impressed area. Eyes separated above by 2.7–2.8 × their width. Antennal scapus short, as long as broad with few setae not longer than scapus; funiculus 6-segmented; club setose, with two distinct procurved sutures. Pronotum with scattered asperities on anterior half, anterior margin with four densely set small tubercles; posterior half reticulate; vestiture consisting of short bristle-like and longer spatulate setae. Scutellum with bifid setae. Elytral interstriae on disc with regular rows of broad spatulate setae, except multiple confused rows on interstriae 1, 4, 9 and 10, on declivity setae less regular on most interstriae; strial setae hair-like, recumbent, in single rows. Legs. Protibiae with three denticles on the apical margin.
Female. Not known.
Etymology. Named after Tsitsikamma as a noun in apposition. The name is in Khoekhoe language (Nama) meaning clear water, likely referring to the Tsitsikamma river.
Distribution. South Africa. Only a single complete male and one damaged male was collected from a thin branch in the type locality.
