Typematerial. Holotype (intact ♀, MNHN-IU-2009- 5058 ) , paratype (intact ♀, MNHN-IU-2014-21468), anddissectedparatype (♀, figured) from Didemnum sp. (MNHN-IT-2008-3381 = MNHNA 2/DID.C/581), Socotra Island, Yemen, Monniot coll., September 1996.
Etymology. The specific name refers to the presence of only a single pair of legs in the new species.
Descriptionoffemale. Body ( Fig. 443A View FIGURE 443 ) maggotshaped, graduallybroadeningposteriorly, consistingof unsegmented prosome and small, rudimentary urosome, with thin, soft epidermis. Bodylength 2.12 mm; body width 0.65 mm across widest region in posterior 20% of body. Body surface ornamented with sparsely scattered, fine spinules. Cephalosome ( Fig. 443B View FIGURE 443 ) with pair of swollen, lateral processes; processes bulbous, gradually broadening distally, directed ventro-medially, extending to level of tip of labrum. Urosome ( Fig. 443C View FIGURE 443 ) indistinctly 2-segmented, positionedondorsal surfaceof prosome near posterior end; first somite obscure, fused with prosome; second wider than long (77×94 μm), bilobed posteriorly, with deep posteromedian incision in rear margin; ornamented with scattered spinules. Caudal rami small, lobate, 19×14 μm, indistinctly articulated from abdomen, unarmed but ornamented with several spinules.
Rostrum and antennules absent. Antenna ( Fig. 443D View FIGURE 443 ) extremely small, 2-segmented, positioned between base of labrum and ventrolateral lateral processes ( Fig. 443B View FIGURE 443 ); secondsegment subdivided by lateral constriction, tipped withsmall claw. Labrum ( Fig. 443B View FIGURE 443 ) large, longerthan wide, tapering towards rounded apex. Mouth visible beneath labrum ( Fig. 443B View FIGURE 443 ). Mouthparts absent. Leg 1 represented by paired globular lobes positioned close to each other on mid-ventral surface, posterior to apex of labrum ( Fig. 443B View FIGURE 443 ). Legs 2–5 absent.
