Species. T. carcavalloi Jurberg, Rocha, Lorosa, Vinhaes and Lent View in CoL
Etymology. This species is dedicated to Dr. Rodolfo Ubaldo Carcavallo, an Argentinean physician, researcher and entomologist who, for the past 40 years, has dedicated himself to studying vectors, in particular those of Chagas disease. He has published 193 studies so far and is the author and editor of several books, including Factores biológicos y ecológicos em la enfermidad de Chagas, which was published in three volumes (543 pages) in Argentina, and Atlas dos vetores da doença de Chagas nas Américas, also in three volumes, published in Brazil ( Jurberg, Rocha, Lorosa, Vinhaes & Lent 1998: 297).
