Agrosteomela indica impressiuscula: Gressitt and Kimoto 1963:332 .

Description. Form: Elongate (Fig. 5). Length: 11.5–12.5 mm (measured from the apex of the clypeus to the apex of the elytra); width: 6.50–6.60 mm (measured at base of the elytra). Color: Metallic, deep-blue; elytra shiny reddish-brown; apical segments of abdomen reddish-brown; two basal segments of antennae reddish-brown. Head: Deeply inserted in prothorax, with fine punctures. Clypeus with spare pubescence basally, short, distinctly separated into ante- and postclypeus, with impressed line between labrum and clypeus. Coronal suture distinct. Eyes elliptical; average dorso-ventral eye length ¼ 0.84 mm; average interocular distance (at dorso-mesal margins) ¼ 1.64 mm; Outer surface of mandible with coarse and dense punctures and sparse pubescence. Antennae slender (Fig. 10), segment (1–11) length (average of type series) in millimeters 0.64, 0.24, 0.40, 0.40, 0.32, 0.40, 0.40, 0.40, 0.48, 0.56, 0.72.

Pronotum: Average length at middle ¼ 5.10 mm, average width at middle ¼ 3.10 mm; laterally rounded before middle, central disc impunctate; lateral margin depressed, with a deep depression on each side, from basal margin to middle, with sparse, deep punctures in depressions. Scutellum: Triangular with apex rounded, impunctate. Elytra: Length ¼ 8.0 mm, width (at middle) ¼ 1.20 mm. Convex, with five rows of punctures, more distinct at base than apex; epipleuron bearing a row of sparse setae only at apex. Underside: Shiny, prosternal process and metasternum impunctate, finely pubescent, metaepisternum with dense and coarse punctures. abdominal sternite with fine punctures. Inner margin of epipleuron with row of setae. Median lobe: In ventral view truncate apically, in lateral view long and slender ( Figs. 17–18 View Figs ).
