Material examined ( A. hyemala repressa Warncke ): ISRAEL: Nir Am, 14.iii.19??, H. Bytinski-Salz (1♂) ( SMNHTAU) .

Remarks. Israeli specimens identified by Warncke as A. graecella ( Warncke 1969) actually belong to A. hyemala repressa Warncke , which he described six years later ( Warncke 1975). Andrena graecella is limited to southeastern Europe. This error derives from a period of time (1965–1973) during which Warncke used the name A. graecella for what was actually the undescribed A. hyemala Warncke , see discussion in Gusenleitner & Schwarz (2002).
