Discussion. La Rivers (1951) described this species based on material from Peru; recently it was recorded from Ecuador by Sites (2023a), who provided photos of the dorsal habitus, male abdominal tergum VIII, and the left paramere. As probably occurs in all species of the complex, this species also does not have an accessory genitalic process on male abdominal tergum VI ( Fig. 2C ), and the ventral lobes of the phallosoma are membranous ( Fig. 2G ). Sites (2023a) was unable to examine the right paramere of the specimen from Ecuador, preventing him from determining the symmetry of the parameres. The first author of the present study photographed the right paramere of the same specimen after its dissection ( Fig. 2F ); thus, we have determined the parameres of this species to be symmetrical.
