Specimen examined. No specimens seen, description summarized from Andrewes (1923).

Description. Length 5.5 mm. Head, pronotum and narrow lateral margin of elytra (except the base) reddish yellow with head having a darker shade; first two segments of antennae yellow, rest brown; lateral margin of pronotum and elytra greyish black; scutellum dull brick-red; elytra with two reddish yellow spots.

Head broad, frons and middle of vertex smooth, neck slightly wrinkled, with sparse pubescence, rest glabrous; shallow rounded foveae between eyes; antennae not reaching the middle of the elytra.

Pronotum as long as broad, punctated, pubescent; lateral bead narrow; disc laterally with anterior two-thirds convex, posterior third straight, lateral portion of the apical margin projecting forwards.

Elytra longer than broad, convex; weakly striated, intervals slightly convex, finely granulated, moderately pubescent; surface with two spots, the anterior spot oval, middle spot rounded, apical spot absent; apex brown.

Distribution. INDIA: Tamil Nadu: Tharangambadi.

Remarks. The type species, which was presumed to be in BMNH, is lost or misplaced (Hrdlička 2018 pers. comm.).
