Type material.

NHMUK 1975299, three syntypes (Cuming coll.).

Remarks.

Pfeiffer did not state on how many specimens his description was based. Breure and Borrero were not able to recognize this species in the material they revised from Colombia (unpublished data). The locality data in Linares and Vera (2012) need further evidence.

Current systematic position.

Bulimulidae , Drymaeus (Mesembrinus) pertristis (Pfeiffer, 1855).
