Type locality: Sri Lanka, Gannoruwa
Distribution. Indian records: Andaman Islands ( Rao & Sivaperuman 2020), Kerala ( Das et al. 2020a), Tamil Nadu ( Sondhi et al. 2021), Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka ( Reddy & Murthy 2021). Global records: Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia, Philippines ( Bradley 1981), Sri Lanka, W Malaysia, Java, Brunei, Sarawak, Philippines, possibly more widely distributed but misidentified as C. medinalis Guenée ( Robinson et al. 1994) , Philippines ( Waterhouse 1994).
