COMMON NAME (S): Singled Emerald.

SYNONYM(S): Racheospila coryphata Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875 .

IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).

DISTRIBUTION: Cabo Verde, Ethiopia, Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Chirundu, Lusaka and Kafue, in Lusaka Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Pinhey (1975) reports that one yet to be identified Myrtaceae species i.e. Feijoa sp. is one of the host plants of the taxon. The African Moths (2019) webpage, on the other hand, lists the following as larval foodplants of the taxon: A yet to be identified Myrtaceae species, Acca sp. ; one yet to be identified Malvaceae species, Hermannia sp. ; a yet to be identified Proteaceae species, Macadamia sp ; one Bignoniaceae species, Markhamia lutea (Benth.) K.Schum. one Anacardiaceae species, Ozoroa mucronata (Bernh.) R. Fern. & A. Fern. , and three Fabaceae , Vachellia karroo (Hayne) Banfi & Galasso , A. mearnsii De Wild. and A. caffra (Thunb.) Willd.

DISTRIBUTION: Cameroon, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Namibia , Republic of Congo, Sao Tome & Principe, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Livingstone, in Southern Province ; Mumbwa, in Central Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): The African Moths (2019) reports that larval foodplants of this taxon include the spike thorn, Gymnosporia heterophylla (Eckl. & Zeyh.) Loes (Celastraceae) .
