Length. Male 8.40–9.00 mm; female unknown.

External morphology. Medium size, robust species. General color black with small, yellow spots on veins of forewings, broad translucent, broken transverse band medially, large translucent irregular shaped marking subapically; mesonotum and pronotum black; crown black with square shaped yellow marking laterobasally, broad transverse yellow line anteriorly; eyes translucent; face entirely black except for yellow longitudinal stripe below each eye extending to base of clypeus ( Plate 3F). Head narrower than pronotum, anterior margin broadly rounded; crown short, much broader than width of eyes, slightly produced distally, lateral margins nearly parallel, disk depressed medially; eyes large, elongate-ovoid; pronotum about ¼ longer than median length of crown, surface bullated; mesonotum large, median length nearly twice length of pronotum; forewings typical; clypeus long, broad at apex, gradually narrowed at base; clypellus about 1/3 as long as clypeus, slightly inflated basomedially, lateral margins constricted medially.

Male genitalia. Pygofer in lateral view narrow, caudal processes absent, glabrous ( Fig. 171); right subgenital plate long, narrow ( Fig. 172); style long, broad, nearly as long as aedeagus, with distinctive, elongate, lateral lobe along middle ( Figs. 173, 174); aedeagus asymmetrical, long, tubular in basal 3/5, with 2 spines submedially on shaft similar to D. brevilobata , basal spine very short, distal spine long, with secondary teeth apically ( Figs. 175, 176); connective broadly Y-shaped, stem short, membranous on each side of middle ( Fig. 177); dorsal connective very long, narrow, strap shape ( Figs. 178).

Etymology. The species name is descriptive of the elongate, lateral lobe of the style.

Remarks. This species is closest to D. brevilobata , sp. nov. and can be separated by the distinctive elongate, lateral stylar lobe.
