Recorded from Bhutan by Wood & Bright (1992). We have been unable to trace the original record, but it is highly probable that the species occurs in the country.

Distribution. Throughout the Oriental region to Japan, New Guinea, Australia and Pacific islands; tropical Africa.

Biology. A polyphagous species recorded from a very wide range of host trees (e.g. Beeson, 1961; Browne 1961; Schedl 1963; Wood & Bright 1992).
