Description

Female carapace dark brown without pattern or hair, the entire surface covered with fine tubercles, become wider between palpal coxae and widest between the posterior margin of coxa II, and its posterior margin truncated. Anterior eye row slightly recurved, posterior eye row almost straight and slightly wider. Fovea longitudinal and indistinct. Sternum reddish brown and without pattern. Chelicerae 1.0 5 long, coloured as sternum, with lateral condyle, three promarginal and two retromarginal teeth. Labium slightly wider than long. Legs brown, paler than carapace. Tibiae I – II with seven and six pairs of long, ventral spines, respectively, with longest spine 0.94 long. Metatarsi I and II with four pairs of long, ventral spines, with longest spine 0.86 long. Opisthosoma elongate oval, with black hair. Dorsum yellowish brown with two pairs of muscular impression, a pair of small circular, white patterns on anterior one-third, one transverse arc shaped, white pattern on posterior one-fourth, its posterior end with a short, conical, white apophysis and without any dorsal scutum ( Figure 1 View Figure 1. J (a)). Venter coloured as dorsum, median area with an anchor-shaped, white pattern. Spinnerets white, distal portion pale brown, anterior and posterior spinnerets cylindrical, median one foliiform.

Female genital with epigynal plate trapezoidal, wider anteriorly; atrium longitudinal and anterior ( Figures 1 View Figure 1. J (b), 4 (a)). Vulva with copulatory duct twisted, with two coils, with the portion connected to the fertilisation duct almost straight; and spermathecae tube shaped ( Figures 1 View Figure 1. J (c), 4 (b)).

Measurements. Total length 7.70. Carapace 2.95 long, 2.37 wide. Clypeus height 0.20. Opisthosoma 4.2 long, 2.48 wide. Eye size and interdistance: AME 0.11, ALE 0.14, PME 0.10, PLE 0.13, AME – AME 0.07, AME – ALE 0.05, AME – PME 0.11, PME– PME 0.14, PME – PLE 0.14, ALE– PLE 0.09. Leg I 8.62 (2.47, 3.20, 1.95, 1.00), II 7.87 (2.25, 2.92, 1.70, 1.00), III 6.62 (1.75, 2.32, 1.65, 0.90), IV 9.66 (2.60, 3.14, 2.67, 1.25), formula: IV, I, II, III.

Etymology

The specific name is derived from the type locality.

Comments

This new species resembles J. mihun ( Deeleman-Reinhold 2001: Figures 794 – 795), but distinct in its (1) copulatory duct much shorter, twisted and simple ( Figures 1 View Figure 1. J (c), 4 (b)) and (2) the portion connected to the fertilisation duct of the copulatory duct almost straight (coiled in J. mihun ).
