Length: female holotype 6.80 mm. (abdomen missing), male 6.00– 6.30 mm.

External morphology. General color black with yellow longitudinal band along costa of forewings; eyes dark brown; face yellow with two longitudinal black stripes at base of clypeus extending along lateral margins, coalesced apically, diverging at apex of clypellus, large black spot under each eye.Head distinctly narrower than pronotum, anterior margin rounded; crown very narrow, about ½ as wide as width of eye, lateral margins convergent basally; eyes large, semiglobular; pronotum large, median length greater than median length of crown, surface rugulose; mesonotum large, median length greater than median length of pronotum; forewings long, narrow, venation typical; clypeus long, narrow, lateral margins broadly convex; clypellus short.

Distribution. Madagascar, Seychelles.

Material examined. [Type specimen, holotype female] Type / Perinet (Sahamalota) du 13 James, lgfg, Inst, Scient. Madagascar, PC / Coelidia perineti Evans, J. W. Evans det. 1952/(EH), 2701. One male, Limentinus aldabranus Distant , Madagascar, 1914, J. Chatanay, E. de Bergevin (Utah State University collection).

Remarks: Generic placement and junior synonymy of Coelidia perineti Evans are confirmed. Identified material of aldabranus in the collection at Utah State University, Logan were compared with the type specimen. Earlier taxonomic treatment of the species was based on comparison of Evans’ description of perineti with identified material of aldabranus , including the type specimen of Limentinus aldabranus Distant ( Nielson 1982: 36–37). The male genitalia are illustrated for aldabranus in Nielson (1982: figs. 90–96).Tribe Teruliini
