Neoperla mesostyla Li & Wang, 2013 View in CoL . In: Wang et al. 2013b: 84 View Cited Treatment ; Yang & Li, 2018: 42. syn. nov.

Material examined. 1 male ( HIST), China: Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guilin City, Multinational Autonomous County of Longsheng , Huaping National Nature Reserve , 2008.V.1, W.Z. Cai .

Distribution. China (Fujian Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guizhou Province).

Remarks. The aedeagal sac of the holotype male of N. mesostyla was not everted in in the original description. The aedeagal sac of a topotype male of N. wui is largely identical to the original description of N. mesostyla . The everted aedeagal sac of N. mesostyla is more strongly curved ventrad forming a loop, but the curvature of the aedeagal sac is not apparently a reliable specific character. We place N. mesostyla as a junior subjective synonym of N. wui .
