Found at the coastal areas. ex Onopordon illyricum : 2M, Aley, Aley Co. (Mount Lebanon). ex Silybum marianum : 1M and 2F, Khaldeh, Baabda Co. (Mount Lebanon).

Silybum marianum View in CoL is a new host record for this species. Terellia colon View in CoL has been recorded from Centaurea View in CoL , Carthamus View in CoL , Galactites View in CoL and Carlina species ( Neuenschwander and Freidberg, 1983; Freidberg and Kugler, 1989; White et al., 1990; Merz, 1994). However, this species is associated with Centaurea spp. and is usually confused with a similar species, T. luteola View in CoL , which attacks Carthamus spp. (White et al., 1990). Its distribution in Asia includes Israel and Turkey ( Neuenschwander and Freidberg, 1983; Foote, 1984; Freidberg and Kugler, 1989).
