Diagnosis. The new species is similar to R. bilobata and R. dissectaedeaga sp. nov. in the forewing with two black speckles and the male genitalia with a X-shaped gnathos. It can be separated from them by the sacculus with distal 1/5 sub-quadrate and the aedeagus not bifurcate distally; in the latter two species, the sacculus is gradually narrowed distally, and the aedeagus is bifurcate distally.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 3–8 ). Wingspan 12.0 − 15.0 mm.

Head pale yellow. Labial palpus in male pale yellow, with a few black scales; in female yellow, second palpomere black distally on dorsal surface. Antenna with scape black dorsally, yellow ventrally; flagellum black and yellow on dorsal surface, yellow on ventral surface.

Thorax and tegula black basally, yellow distally. Forewing yellow; costal margin with two large, inverted triangular black speckles: basal speckle from base to basal 1/3 between costal margin and fold, outer margin sinuate, outer speckle from between basal 2/5 and 3/4 narrowed to above posterior angle of cell; apex with a black stripe, diffused from apex to tornus; fringe yellow, except black around apex. Hindwing and fringe grey. Legs yellow; on ventral surface, coxa of foreleg black, coxa of hindleg with black scales; on dorsal surface, femur of fore- and midlegs black, tarsus of foreleg black at base of first and second tarsomeres as well as on entire third and fourth tarsomeres, tarsus of midleg black at middle of first tarsomere and at base of other tarsomeres, tibiae of fore- and midlegs black mixed yellow scales at apex; on ventral surface, femora of mid- and hindlegs with black scales; on outer surface, tibia of hindleg black on distal half, tarsus black at middle of first tarsomere and at base of second tarsomere.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 15–20 ). Uncus with basal 1/4 narrow, subparallel laterally; distal 3/4 fan-shaped, distinctly widened from 1/4 to broad apex, with long seta at basal 1/4 laterally. Gnathos X-shaped; ventral plate with each arm widened and arched forward medially, narrowed from middle to acute tip; basal arm uniformly slender, extending obliquely inward to middle of ventral plate. Valva with basal 1/6 narrow, distal 5/6 wide, subparallel to obtusely oblique apex, with a line of long setae running from basal 1/5 to 2/5 along midline; costa narrowly banded, becoming weak to distal 1/4 of costal margin; transtilla lobes expanded toward middle, touching each other mesially; sacculus 1/3 length of valva, aequilate from base to basal 4/5, distal 1/5 narrow, sub-quadrate, heavily sclerotized. Saccus wide at base, slightly narrowed to narrowly rounded apex. Juxta U-shaped; lateral lobe narrowed from base to pointed apex. Aedeagus slightly longer than half length of valva, tapered to pointed apex; cornutus extending from middle to distal 1/5 of aedeagus.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 27–32 ). Papillae anales nearly bell shaped. Apophyses anteriores about half length of apophyses posteriores. Eighth sternal plate arched, with long setae on posterior margin. Lamella antevaginalis, sub-semicircular, weakly sclerotized. Antrum funnel-shaped, narrowed anteriorly, more sclerotized laterally, with squamous protuberances. Ductus bursae membranous, uniform. Corpus bursae ovoid, without signum.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin magni- and maculatus, referring to the two large speckles of the forewing.
