Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition that refers to the type locality of the holotype.

Diagnosis. Males of Scytodes tabuleiro n.sp. resemble those of S. marlieria n.sp. by the dorso-ventrally narrow distal region of the palp ( Figs. 49–51 View FIGURES 44 – 51. 44 – 47 , 131–133 View FIGURES 130 – 140. 130 – 135 ). They are distinguished by the sclerotized process, almost as long as the distal region in S. tabuleiro n.sp. ( Figs. 131–133 View FIGURES 130 – 140. 130 – 135 ). The females are distinguished from those of the other Neotropical Scytodes by the peculiar shape of the hyaline pockets in the epigynum, with the anterior region bent outwards over the large sclerotized lateral area ( Fig. 135 View FIGURES 130 – 140. 130 – 135 ).

Description. Male (MCTP). Carapace orange with dark brown pattern as shown on Fig. 130 View FIGURES 130 – 140. 130 – 135 . Chelicerae orange with median longitudinal brown stripe. Pedipalps orange with prolateral brown stains. Labium orange with large brown stain at base. Endites orange. Sternum pale yellow with brown irregular markings, in front of each coxae and in the center. Legs orange, except patella brown. Femora I-IV with pair of ventral longitudinal brown stripes. Tibiae I-IV with dark brown extremities and a median longitudinal mark. Abdomen gray with black pattern ( Fig. 130 View FIGURES 130 – 140. 130 – 135 ). Total length 3.8. Carapace slightly domed, 2.0 long, 1.5 wide. Eye diameters: PME 0.14, ALE 0.14, PLE 0.14. Lateral eyes on a tubercle. Chelicerae with subapical hyaline keel and inconspicuous stridulatory ridges. Bulb 0.60 long, slightly curved medially, with distal region slightly concave and dorso-ventrally narrow and a prolateral sclerotized process ( Figs. 132–133 View FIGURES 130 – 140. 130 – 135 ). Abdomen 1.8 long, 1.2 wide, covered with slender hairs.
